A Philosophy of Knowledge Transfer
Highly skilled ViryaNet staff fosters an environment that transfers knowledge to all of your staff. Your comprehensive training plan is developed and delivered at the beginning of the project, after the requirements gathering and implementation design discussions. ViryaNet addresses the diverse needs and requirements of your various staff members by offering over 50 educational classes in five major categories. These classes range in length from one to four days, and cover all ViryaNet solution components and technologies. The categories are:
- Overview These courses are general, and normally do not require any prerequisites or prior experience.
- Business These courses are intended primarily for Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts who will be involved in the implementation or of a ViryaNet solution.
- Technology These courses are intended primarily for technical resources who will be involved in the implementation and/or maintenance of a ViryaNet solution.
- Administration These courses are intended primarily for customer administration personnel who will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of an implemented ViryaNet solution.
- Mentoring These courses are designed for resources who will be involved with the detailed technical implementations of selected components of a ViryaNet solution and usually require specific technical experience (Java programming, for example).
ViryaNet Global Education Training Methods
ViryaNet actively supports training using three different methodologies:
- Instructor-Led Training The majority of ViryaNet Education courses are designed and implemented as instructor-led training. These courses include significant hands-on exercises and are delivered either at your site or at the ViryaNet Education facility.
- Virtual Classroom ViryaNet Education courses have been designed to be delivered utilizing the capabilities of the Internet. These courses are instructor lead, and are segmented into short delivery periods (several hours) and extended over a period of days.
- e-Learning Most ViryaNet Education courses can be made available as self-paced Internet based training. These courses are not instructor led, but do provide communication with ViryaNet technical and training staff.
ViryaNet Solutions Training
Most customers receive the following training:
- Initial Project Team Training This training is given at an early stage of the implementation, and provides specific overviews of the ViryaNet solution. The goal of these primarily overview sessions is to ensure that you have a forum in which you clearly and concisely communicate implementation requirements.
- Solution Implementation Training This training is slightly more advanced, building upon the Initial Project Team Training, and focuses on your specific solution. These training sessions are the beginning of detailed knowledge transfer.
- Component Knowledge Transfer This training will provide your technical staff with the skills required to maintain the ViryaNet solution.
- Administration Training This training provides your System Administrators the capabilities to fully maintain the ViryaNet solution, and includes application and data configuration training.
- Train-the-Trainer This training is designed to educate your training team. ViryaNet strongly promotes the concept of Train-the-Trainer, providing you the education, materials, and confidence to take charge of your solution.
- User Training Prior to Go-Live, ViryaNet Education supports your end-user training, conducted by your staff or by us.
Solution Training
The ViryaNet solution operates on a sophisticated and powerful platform, from which our applications are deployed. Comprehensive training is provided to you on all components of this platform.
Application Training
ViryaNet application solutions embrace product and technological components as well as best practices pre-configured processes. In-depth education is provided for all of our solutions, including ViryaNet for Utilities, ViryaNet for Retail, ViryaNet for Telecommunications, and ViryaNet for General Field Service.
