ViryanNt product captures “excellence” award for Jackson Energy Authority
June 12, 2007

Southborough, MA - June 12, 2007 -Jackson Energy Authority, a ViryaNet customer, was honored at the recent CIS Week conference for its outstanding contributions and innovations in utility customer service. The "Innovation" award, presented to Sam Turner and Michael Baughn of Jackson Energy Authority, paid tribute to the company's introduction of the ViryaNet technology, which extended the usage, functionality, and value of its call center application.

In accepting the award, Mr. Baughn heralded the benefits of the ViryaNet product, indicating a significant increase in orders per month managed with the same staffing levels, an increase from 85% to 99% of all orders completed on the same day, decreased service miles per order, and improved customer satisfaction and job morale.

New this year at the CIS Week conference, the awards program was designed to recognize excellence in customer service at utility organizations. A panel of independent judges chose the winners on such criteria as product innovation, improvements to customer service; long-term viability, and cost/benefit analysis.

The award will be featured in an upcoming issue of Electric Light & Power. EL&P is an industry publication that covers utility-related topics, including power transmission and distribution, electric transformers design, power distribution transformers, power delivery, and more.

"We are thrilled to have received such a significant award, and congratulate our sponsors at Jackson Energy Authority," said Jack McAvoy, vice president, marketing, ViryaNet. "This recognition validates ViryaNet's product excellence in the utilities and mobile workforce management market. Furthermore, it is an important message to the industry of the importance of integrating well the call center (CIS / CRM) function with the field, as proposed by industry analysts, including Gartner."
