VIRYANET ELECTRONIC VEGETATION MANAGEMENT SOLUTION (EVMS) COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE
November 16, 2005

Southborough, Mass. - November 16, 2005 -ViryaNet (NasdaqSC: VRYA), a leading provider of integrated mobile and Web-based software applications for workforce management and field service delivery, today announced the market availability of an electronic Vegetation Management Solution (eVMS) for the utility vegetation management industry. The product currently is in pilot mode at a leading vegetation management company located in the United States, which has requested that its name not be used due to competitive reasons.
The eVMS supplies the tools to automate the recognized best practices for the utility vegetation management process. The eVMS product allows utility companies to better understand their workload and, therefore, manage vegetation adjacent to their assets and facilities. This includes performing an inventory of vegetation, prioritizing pruning activities, and scheduling the resources (people and equipment) to perform required tasks. ViryaNet first announced the planned release of the product with its partners CN Utility Consulting and Enporion in early June of this year.

The eVMS solution is enabling ViryaNet's pilot customer to achieve three goals:
 Improving availability of field information in the pre-inspection process to the planners.
 Automating all field work, thus eliminating paper-based forms and manual processes.
 Optimizing the scheduling and dispatch of its field crews, based upon their availability, proximity to the job, skills, and a host of other criteria.

"ViryaNet is in an enviable position with a robust first-to-market product for the function of utility vegetation management. Our pilot is illustrating the many benefits of automating the vegetation management process," stated Edward Krufka, vice president, business solutions, ViryaNet.
