NORTHGATE INFORMATION SOLUTIONS UPGRADES TO VIRYANET SERVICE HUB; MOBILE WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT SOLUTION OPTIMIZES WORK SCHEDULING
November 02, 2005

Southborough, Mass. - November 2, 2005 -ViryaNet (NasdaqSC: VRYA), a leading provider of integrated mobile and Web-based software applications for workforce management and field service delivery, today announced that Northgate Information Solutions, a customer of ViryaNet's European partner Aspective, will upgrade its service delivery operations onto the ViryaNet Service Hub platform. Northgate had been using iMedeon's iM:Work solution. ViryaNet acquired iMedeon, Inc. in February 2002.
Northgate, a UK-based organization that offers software and managed services to the public services and utilities markets, has a rapidly expanding IT systems support business maintained by approximately 280 field engineers across the country. Northgate supports customers at thousands of sites, and receives approximately 12,000 support calls per month into a central call centre, from which new field support requests are generated and dispatched.
Northgate Information Solutions will use ViryaNet Service Hub to optimize scheduling and planning of resources, automate service processes, and enable bi-directional mobile data communications. Northgate intends to improve the efficiency of field operations and ensure scalability as its customer base and field force continues to grow.
"Northgate has responded to company growth and increased customer demand by upgrading to ViryaNet Service Hub, a cutting-edge workforce management system," said Javaid Aziz, CEO, Aspective. "We are delighted to offer and support ViryaNet Service Hub; market reception continues very favorably."
