JACKSON ENERGY AUTHORITY “GOES LIVE” WITH VIRYANET SERVICE HUB FOR UTILITIES

Southborough, Mass. - October 25, 2005 - ViryaNet (NasdaqSC: VRYA), a leading provider of integrated mobile and Web-based software applications for workforce management and field service delivery, today announced that Jackson Energy Authority, an energy and services provider, headquartered in Jackson, Tennessee, has begun deploying ViryaNet Service Hub for Utilities. Jackson Energy Authority provides electric, natural gas, propane, water, wastewater, cable TV, telephone, and Internet services to over 38,000 residences and businesses in Jackson, and parts of Madison County and surrounding counties in Tennessee.

Jackson Energy Authority rolled out ViryaNet Service Hub for Utilities to its field engineers who deliver a range of services that include meter "turn-on" and "turn-off" services, credit and collections, asset management, and more. ViryaNet Service Hub for Utilities is scheduling these resources based on work order type, location, skill sets, work order tasks, and other Jackson Energy Authority business requirements.

ViryaNet Service Hub for Utilities is a comprehensive mobile workforce management software product that includes enterprise scheduling and dispatch, field parts logistics, and mobile activity reporting. The integration of the Service Hub product to several back-office systems, including GE PowerOn Outage Management System and GE Smallworld GIS, has improved operational efficiencies.
