Deal marks ViryaNet's entrée into the insurance segment
Southborough, Mass. - August 13, 2001 - ViryaNet Inc. (NASDAQ: VRYA), a provider of enterprise and mid-market wireless workforce management solutions for field service communities, today announced that S.H.R. Group has selected ViryaNet Service Hub. S.H.R. Group will use Service Hub to log and accept customer calls, schedule and dispatch field engineers, and report and close calls from the customer site. An insurance provider, S.H.R. Group also offers a variety of emergency services, including plumbing and electrical repair. These services are offered 24 hours a day, 364 days a year by a team of 60+ dispatchers and 200+ field engineers.
"With ViryaNet, we will manage our 'manufacturing floor', which is the customer service and care portion of our business," explained Dr. Yves Bitton, CTO, S.H.R. Group. "We will offer online secure collaboration to our customers, service providers, insurance agents, partners, and employees, and make relevant customer service data available in real-time to this community. We expect to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy using the ViryaNet system."
"S.H.R. Group faces similar field service issues that organizations in our other markets encounter," said Win Burke, president and CEO, ViryaNet. "The emergency services piece of S.H.R. Group represents an important part of its operation. The ability to deliver top-rate customer service is imperative, and Service Hub will enable their field engineers to function more efficiently by allowing them to view specific site details, acknowledge service calls, report on activities, view maps, and search service call history - all from wireless devices. Service Hub will help S.H.R. Group get the right engineer to the right place at the right time with the right information."
"ViryaNet has an impressive track record and we're confident we chose the best product for our needs," said Nehorai Nativ, vice president, S.H.R. Group. "We expect dramatic improvements in our field service organization, as we move to a highly interactive community. This is an important step that will allow us to continue to be a leading customer service organization."
The deployment of ViryaNet Service Hub at S.H.R. Group will be managed by Expert Solutions International's (ESI) integration team. ESI, a leading provider of knowledge-based solutions and workforce management products, acts as a reseller and systems integrator for ViryaNet Service Hub. In a future stage, ESI's advanced scheduling product will be added to further optimize the S.H.R operation.
S.H.R Group will use ViryaNet Service Hub as its operational system as it expands into the United States insurance market later this year.
