Dr. Cheryl Shavers to Visit Software Provider's Jerusalem R&D Facility

SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. - May 9, 2000 - ViryaNet, a leading global provider of business-to-business Internet platform solutions for service communities, today announced that the company's Jerusalem R&D facility will be hosting Dr. Cheryl L. Shavers, the UnderSecretary for Technology at the U.S. Department of Commerce. As part of her visit to Israel, Dr. Shavers will spend time at ViryaNet to discuss the company's technology as well as the broader subject of U.S.-Israeli business relations. The visit was scheduled as part of ViryaNet's association with BIRD Foundation, a bi-national fund that invests money in joint American and Israeli technology projects. ViryaNet has participated in four such projects.
