Akili specializes in the strategic development and deployment of business-to-business Internet solutions and provides consulting support that combines outstanding service with accountability. Akili is a rapidly growing Internet integrator headquartered in Dallas that predominantly serves customers in the telecommunications, energy services and financial services sectors.

John Lee, vice president for the telecommunications industry at ViryaNet, explained why ViryaNet and Akili chose to become strategic partners. "ViryaNet wanted to offer our customers a timely and aggressive implementation of our work force management solution over the Internet," Lee said. "Our customers realize that improving time-to-market means the difference between winning and losing, and they require immediate results from their investments."

According to Lee, "ViryaNet feels that Akili shares its commitment to customer success and has a proven track record that will help ViryaNet customers get on-line and gain competitive advantages quickly. ViryaNet is now bundling its work force management technology with Akili's understanding of process, change management methodology and business case strategy for telecommunications companies."

Rich Anderson, vice president for Telecommunications with Akili adds: "To compete effectively in today's fast-paced Internet economy, emerging carriers such as CLECs (competitive local exchange carriers) and DSL (digital subscriber line) providers must bypass traditional field service bottlenecks. With the ViryaNet Service Hub solution, they can take service orders, trouble tickets, operations and maintenance processes directly to the Internet. ViryaNet clearly has a deep understanding of the service business and is a true pioneer in the development of Internet solutions for service management organizations."
