Corporate and Financial Law Expert to Oversee Company's Legal Activities Worldwide

Southboro, Mass. - June 14, 2000

ViryaNet, a leading provider of business-to-business Internet solutions for service communities, today announced the appointment of Alon Tabak as general counsel. Mr. Tabak will oversee all of the company's legal activities and ensure the company's compliance with the rules and laws of the countries in which it operates. Mr. Tabak will be based in ViryaNet's Jerusalem office.

Mr. Tabak has extensive experience handling international financial transactions and providing legal counsel to corporations. He joins ViryaNet from the law firm of Tulchinsky-Stern & Company, where he served major corporations as the legal counsel on multimillion-dollar transactions. Mr. Tabak has a Masters Degree in Law from the University of Chicago School of Law and is a member of the New York State Bar and the Israeli Bar Association.
