Seasoned Technology Sales Professional Brings Strong Revenue Performance Record
Southboro, Mass.July 13, 2000 - ViryaNet, a leading global provider of business-to-business Internet solutions for service communities, today announced the appointment of Steve Elliott as Vice President of Sales, Europe. Mr. Elliott will be responsible for overseeing ViryaNet's European sales organization and developing business and partnerships in Europe.
Mr. Elliott has over seventeen years of experience in sales management roles with the European offices of companies such as Prism Solutions, Oracle Corporation, Ingres, Comshare, and British Olivetti. Mr. Elliott established the sales division of Prism Solutions' international operations, and during his four-year tenure, helped develop it into a profitable segment of the organization, consistently
exceeding annual revenue forecasts. Prior to Prism Solutions, Mr. Elliott was at Oracle Corporation for eight years, and had roles at the UK General Manager and European Regional Director level.

Mr. Elliott's sales expertise ranges from servicing commercial strategic customers in Europe and in Asia, as well as the public sector and OEM customers. He primarily has focused on the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) marketplace in recent years, and has an in-depth understanding of the issues companies face with automating service, sales, and marketing functions. A Chartered Accountant, Elliott
holds a degree in Economics from the University of Bristol, England.
