ViryaNet's Wireless Workforce Management Solution Named Best Wireless Internet Solution

Southborough, Mass. - October 23, 2000 - ViryaNet Inc. (Nasdaq: VRYA), a provider of wireless workforce management solutions for field service communities, today announced that its solution was awarded "Best of Show" in the Wireless Internet Solution category at Field Service Solutions 2000 Conference and Exposition in August 2000. The "Best of Show" awards recognized the best new products and technology innovations in field service applications showcased at the event. A panel of six independent judges chose the winners.

Jennifer Sakurai, editor of Field Force Automation, was one of the judges. She stated, "Winning a 'Best of Show' is no easy feat; the competition was open to products and services from every exhibiting company. So many of them have compelling ideas and innovations for improving service delivery and satisfaction."

The award is featured in the October issue of Field Force Automation (FFA). Field Force Automation is targeted at today's executives and managers charged with implementing mobile technology into the business processes of their enterprises. FFA provides business managers, IT implementers, and integrators with the ideas and specifics for integrating new technology into their company's field operations.
