Seasoned Professional to Direct Global Sales Force
SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. - November 14, 2000 - ViryaNet (NASDAQ: VRYA), a provider of wireless workforce management solutions for field service communities, today announced that Jeff Galin, formerly vice president of North American sales, has been promoted to senior vice president of worldwide sales. In his new role, Galin will manage the Company's global sales force and educate organizations on using technology to improve their delivery of service.

Mr. Galin has held a number of senior sales management positions since joining ViryaNet in 1997. Prior to joining ViryaNet, he was vice president of sales at Precise Software Solutions, where he was responsible for managing the sales effort of an SQL tuning technology for Oracle databases. Mr. Galin also served as a regional manager for Mercury Interactive, a provider of Web performance management
solutions.
