VIRYANET PROMOTES KEY EXECUTIVES AS IT EXPANDS PRESENCE IN WIRELESS MARKET

Karen Chetrit, Nir Diskin, and Oded Sofer Assume New Roles in ViryaNet's Management Team

SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. - December 7, 2000 - ViryaNet, a provider of wireless workforce management solutions for field service communities, today announced the promotions of three of its key executives: Karen Chetrit to vice president of engineering, Nir Diskin to vice president of product management, and Oded Sofer to vice president, e-product group.

As vice president of engineering, Ms. Chetrit will assume direct responsibility for ViryaNet's product development group and all research and development activities. Previously, she managed both the system engineering group and the product development group for ViryaNet's core product, Service Suite. She became vice president of E-Development and research and development when the Company successfully launched Service Hub in December 1999.

Mr. Diskin joined ViryaNet in 1996, and has held a number of management positions within the Company's engineering organization, specifically project manager, chief designer, and vice president of customer projects. As vice president of product management, Mr. Diskin will be responsible for planning and managing ViryaNet's product releases.

As vice president, e-product group, Mr. Sofer will lead ViryaNet's product development group, which is responsible for product design, testing, and documentation. Mr. Sofer previously served as the chief designer for the Company's product development group.
